The most extraordinary event during the Festival was the opera – happening „Romeo@Gulietta” directed by Michal Znaniecki. It featured great stars of opera: Loredana Arcuri, Massimiliano Gagliardo from famous La‘Scala in Milano, Rocco Chiumarullo, Debora Virello, Sandra Enel, Cristiana Voglino and Faraualla choir from Bari with the students and orchestra from Tczew, which was directed by Beata Hrycyk-Mańkowska. Jerzy Krechowicz, the chairman of jury said about the contest projects: “I would like to say, who knows where is it going. And it is like that. It’s very nice to be in touch with this kind of matter, which is like mystery. But there is something unclear – of course – if we are talking about the main idea. However there is a lot of determination in sphere of young artists activity.” („Pegaz”, 13 September 2001)
